Formatting Tools

This plug-in extends HippoEDIT by additional formatting commands and utilities suitable for different kinds of text processing.

• Trim Leading Spaces - trim lines leading white space for selection or current line
• Trim Trailing Spaces - trim lines trailing white space for selection or current line
• Trim Spaces - trim lines white space (lead and trailing) for selection or current line
• Leading Spaces To Tabs - convert leading spaces to tabs for selection or current line
• Leading Tabs To Spaces - convert leading tabs to spaces for selection or current line
• Spaces To Tabs - convert spaces to tabs for selection or current line
• Tabs To Spaces - convert tabs to spaces for selection or current line

New commands can be accessed directly by shortcut (there is no default shortcut, you need to assign one for FormattingTools.<…>) or from Formatting menu.

• Strip HTML Tags - strips HTML tags from selected text or current line
• Encode HTML Entities - convert all Unicode characters in selected text into HTML Entities
• Decode HTML Entities - convert all HTML Entities in selected text into Unicode characters

You can install plugin directly from HippoEDIT Plugins options page (Tools→Options→Plugins), if you have Online Repository activated or by download plugin bundle directly from this page and open it with HippoEDIT.
