Ruler
If feature is enabled, the editor shows control area on top of document for columns orientation.
The option can be controlled as for specific syntax with corresponding syntax option as for specific document with help of View → Editor (file specific) → Ruler.
You can also disable enable it with help of context menu, for text editor top border area.
Clicking and dragging with a mouse on ruler area is an easy way to do column selection through all document lines.
