If you hover the mouse over any entity representation ( , &lt,; © etc ), HippoEDIT will show you how entity under the mouse cursor will be represented by a browser. Reverse previewing also works; you can see, for example, which entity corresponds to your umlaut symbol. This works only for languages inherited from XML.
