Accelerator/Command Hints Delay [HippoEDIT Wiki]

====== Accelerator/Command Hints Delay ======

The [[view:accelerator-hint|Accelerator Hint]] window appears automatically when you keep Ctrl or Shift key pressed for some time. There are  other //Hint// windows as [[view:command-hint|Command Hint]] or [[view:start-page|Start Page]] but only //Accelerator Hint// shown automatically after delayed command buttons press.  

Default delay before Accelerator Hint comes up is 1,5 sec (1500 msec).
You can change this default value by modifying XML file **settings.xml** directly:

Put bigger value to wait longer or 0 to disable at all.
 
Advanced users can set the time to 5 seconds (5000) or more.
Set it to 8000, so this pops up only if you really want it to.
